Terms & Conditions

  1. The Travel Reward is redeemable only by the eligible UnionPay Diamond Prestige cardholder (“Cardholder”) as approved by UnionPay. Any related fees and charges must be settled by UnionPay Diamond Prestige credit card. The Travel Reward benefits are not transferable.

  2. The Travel Reward is redeemable by the Cardholder only one time in each calendar year. The 2023 calendar year is 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023.

  3. The Travel Reward can only be used to book the designated travel packages one time.

  4. The Travel Reward must be redeemed on or before 31 March 2024.

  5. The booking must be made with Asia Prestige Lifestyle Limited (“APL”) at least 14 business days prior to the start date of the travel and is subject to availability, capacity control, and the respective booking policies of the applicable airlines, hotels, packages, car rental, tours, and activities provider.

  6. The first departure date of the selected designated travel package must be not later than 31 December 2024, or as otherwise specified by APL.

  7. Travel Reward is subject to blackout dates.

  8. The Travel Reward is personal and to be utilized exclusively by the Cardholder (plus one guest). The Travel Reward can be booked by Cardholder themselves and for any one guest they choose, provided the Cardholder and their guest have the relevant documentation and identification to utilize the booking. Once a booking is made with a registered name, the traveller’s name cannot be changed.

  9. The Travel Reward can be redeemed for two travellers for the same travel package. The two travellers must travel and check-in together, take the same outbound and inbound flights, and share the same hotel room for the entire journey.

  10. Dates for all travel bookings have to be confirmed at the time of booking. Travel bookings cannot be held.

  11. No cancellation, amendment, or refund is allowed once the booking is confirmed. Failure to travel will result in the booking being forfeited.

  12. The Cardholder is required to pay for airport passenger security charges, airport taxes, airport construction fees, administration fees, fuel surcharges, airline insurance, and other expenses, which are all excluded in the Travel Reward. These amounts will be determined upon confirmation of booking by the Cardholder. Prices and conditions are subject to change without prior notice.

  13. All expenses, including but not limited to meals, taxes or duties, gratuities, excess baggage, travel and personal insurance, personal and transport expenses, visa fees and travel documents, optional tours, hotel and air-ticket class upgrades, vaccinations, testing, and any other measures, and any other incidental expenses in conjunction with the travel packages redeemed are not included, unless otherwise specified.

  14. The Travel Reward is not applicable for settling payment of airport taxes, security service charges, fuel surcharges, airline insurance, or any other miscellaneous charges.

  15. The Travel Reward and benefits cannot be exchanged for cash.

  16. The Travel Reward cannot be used in conjunction with other offers, credit letters, promotions, gift vouchers, or any travel discount vouchers.

  17. All designated travel packages are subject to COVID-19 surcharges if necessary or required.

  18. The traveller shall at all times comply with all respective government laws and regulations including, without limitation, in regard to COVID-19 vaccination, testing, and any other measures.

  19. All terms, conditions, and implementation of the Travel Reward and all activities or benefits within the designated travel packages are subject to respective government laws, directions and conditions including, but without limitation, related to COVID-19 or other public health measures.

  20. The goods or services of the designated travel package redeemed by the Travel Reward are the responsibility of the hotels, airlines, tour operators, car services, and any other related suppliers (“Suppliers”) and are not the responsibility of APL. The Suppliers are independent contractors and not agents or employees of UnionPay or APL. All vouchers, receipts, and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the Suppliers. By accepting the vouchers and tickets, and utilizing our services or confirming the booking, the traveller agrees that, subject to applicable law, neither UnionPay, APL, nor any subsidiary or related company or representative shall be liable for any loss, travel cancellation or delay, injury, personal accident or sickness suffered while travelling, loss or damage to the belongings of the traveller or other property, incidental charges, or any other circumstances arising in any way out of the service performed by APL for the traveller.

  21. In the event of any conflict between the booking policies and terms and conditions of the Suppliers and APL, the booking policy and / or terms and conditions of APL shall apply.

  22. UnionPay and APL are not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, representations, warranties, breaches, or negligence of any Suppliers.

  23. UnionPay and APL have no liability and will make no refund in the event of any delay, cancellation, overbooking, strike, force majeure, or other causes connected with the Suppliers.

  24. If the traveller is participating in a Supplier loyalty program, the traveller is responsible for all inquiries to respective Suppliers about eligibility and collection of points, if applicable. UnionPay and APL have no responsibility or liability in this regard.

  25. The traveller is responsible for determining and obtaining proper documentation such as passport, visa and health requirements, and all other relevant documentation and arrangements. The responsibility for ensuring all documentation is correct and complete and all other requirements are satisfied rests with the individual traveller, and will not be communicated by APL.

  26. The traveller is responsible to review airline baggage allowances, any travel restrictions or alerts, local issues and conditions, warnings, announcements, and advisories prior to making travel arrangements and to ensure personal safety.

  27. The traveller is responsible to check the fare rules at the time of booking and refer to the terms and conditions of the airline before submitting the booking.

  28. The traveller is responsible to ensure their passport has at least 6 months validity beyond the last day of the ensuing trip for international travels.

  29. The traveller is responsible to verify health requirements with the appropriate embassy, consulate, or other authority prior to departure as health requirements are subject to change without notice.

  30. The traveller is responsible to consult a physician for current recommendations on inoculations before travelling internationally, and to ensure that the traveller meets all health entry requirements and follows all medical guidance related to their trip.

  31. The traveller is responsible to check for eligibility of insurance coverage with their respective insurance companies. Travel insurance is not included in any Travel Reward redemptions. APL highly recommends every traveller to purchase travel insurance which meets their respective needs before departure. UnionPay and APL are accordingly not responsible for any such claims or for assisting in the making of any such claims.

  32. UnionPay and APL make no representations as to the safety, conditions, or other issues that may exist at any destination. UnionPay and APL do not represent or warrant any travel as advisable or without risk, and as such are not liable for damages or losses that may result from the travel to the particular destinations of the designated travel packages.

  33. All airlines require the production of photo identification when checking in with an e-ticket. Your identification must match with the name of the passenger on the ticket or travel documentation. Presentation of photo identification may also be required for car hire, accommodation, and other travel related services.

  34. A deposit payment may be required by the hotel at the time of check-in. The amount will be determined by the hotel depending on the applicable room rate and the duration of stay. Expenses incurred during the hotel stay such as telephone charges, pay television, meals (unless specified), laundry, room service, mini bar, tips, etc. are additional costs that must be paid directly by the traveller to the hotel at the time of check-out.

  35. Special requests (e.g. bed type, honeymoon/anniversary, special meals, dietary requirements, seating arrangements, room location, early check-in, late check-out, etc.) are to be requested by traveller to Suppliers directly and are subject to availability and discretion of the Suppliers. APL cannot confirm these concessions at the time of booking.

  36. APL reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions as well as to vary or terminate the designated travel packages at any time and without prior notice to the Cardholder.

  37. UnionPay and APL reserve the right of final decision in case of any disputes.

  38. In case of discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
